Behind the Scenes - Studio tour

It’s time for a little tour of my studio Swipe to see!

I recently did a big clear out of this room where I spend most of my work life. Everything had got a bit cluttered and overwhelming so I emptied it, moved everything around and got rid of a lot of books!

the room is on the cold side of the house so I regularly take breaks on my back patio to warm up, whilst Lily comes into cool off on the floor

Probably my favourite feature is this beautiful arched bookshelf. With the recent clear out I brought in all my treasured art inspiration and reference books.

This beautiful painting is by my grandad and constantly inspires me through my day. He was also self taught.

The fireplace isn’t very good so I’ve decided to not use it anymore. Above the fireplace is one of my own paintings of the local bluebell forest. I plan on repainting this wall lilac (you can see ive started test painting) instead of grey (this entire house was grey when I bought it and Ive slowly been getting rid of it as time goes by).

the view from my stand-up desk is lovely but frequently too bright so the curtains are often drawn when I’m working.

I love upcycling furniture and this is a lovely gentlemen’s wardrobe that I repainted. It holds my jackets and scarves and Pangerbon regularly sleeps in one of the cubbies.

this beautiful cabinet hangs on my wall and has all the things I need to hand. Reference books, headphones,notebooks and more.

I love house plants and this is my latest acquisition. I love the purple leaves!!

these two photos face me as I work. The top one is a picture of my dad when he was little. I feel he’s given me the thumbs up and encouragement to keep going.
