The Imaginarium Journals:

Where art, music and Imagination Meet

A collaborative journey by Jennifer Hawkyard & Katy Samwell.

This is not just a journal. It is a container for your own creativity, sparked by original art and sound.

In Volume 1, 21 original artworks dance in conversation with an original musical score. Each page is a prompt, each track a companion, inviting you to move beyond thinking and into feeling. Whether you are a writer, a dreamer, or an artist seeking a spark, this book is your invitation to begin.

Let your spirit soar.

How a Painting Became a Symphony

The Imaginarium Experience began with a simple question: What happens when you give an intuitive channeled painting a voice?

For years, I (Jennifer) have created art from a place of deep intuition—channeling visions of angels, starbeings, and nature spirits onto the page. But I often felt these images held a frequency that paint alone couldn’t fully express. They wanted to sing. Indeed they were all created within a sacred space of sound, music being an important part of my creative process.

Then one day Katy Samwell - sound healer and intuitive musician - reached out to me, asking if she could create a musical response to the artwork ‘Raphael’s Glade’ - featured in Volume 1 - there was something in the art calling to her. Of course I gave her a resounding ‘yes!’ and from there sprung a beautiful collaboration of sound and art; each artwork and its message inspiring a beautiful musical response from Katy.

The Process

Most remarkable was Katy’s responses to my artworks deepened my experience the artwork. She was able to tap into the energies and frequencies I had embedded in the artworks and in some instances remind me of stories woven into the artworks which I had forgotten about. It was a beautiful and inspiring process.

The Result

The result is Volume 1: a truly multisensory experience.

  • The Art: Using my unique digital painting techniques from being an early adopter of digital art in the early 2000’s. No AI. Just human hands and intuition.

  • The Music: Composed by Katy Samwell, blending crystal tone bowls, Katy’s radiant voice and intuitive sound responses to guide your meditation.

  • The Practice: 14 guided prompts that ask you to listen, look, and then write or draw your own truth.

An invitation to slow down and create with purpose

In a world of digital noise and AI-generated content, The Imaginarium Experience is a defiant act of slowness. It asks you to put down your phone, put on your headphones, and spend 10 minutes with a single image and a single melody. It is a practice in presence.
