Behind the Scenes - Blessings & abundance
Hi friends, with the upcoming launch of The Angel Guide Oracle deck I thought I would share some of the little stories behind the artworks and where better to start than the piece that started it all!
I created this piece before meeting with Kyle Gray and Hay House UK with the intention to set the look and feel of the deck and find an aesthetic that would work for 45 unique pieces of art. I doodled a head whilst practicing face proportions and liked it so much that I brought it into my sketching app and started turning it into something. I smushed paint around and explored a looser style than I was accustomed to, and from that came Enigma. Quite often when I start an angel piece I have a name in mind, or a concept I wish to convey, with this piece I didn’t have a name and so he was named Enigma and came with me to London to meet with the publishing team.
Thankfully the team loved this aesthetic and I returned to him regularly throughout the deck to make sure we were keeping within theme. When Kyle sent me the names of the cards ‘Blessings & Abundance’ was in the list and it just fit - so Enigma was finally assigned a name.
