A Look Back at 2020

2020 I think was a weird year for all of us and certainly when we went into our visit Coronavirus lockdown here in the UK I felt a real sense of vulnerability and wondered whether I was going to have to “get a real job” when the dust finally settled. On the contrary however, I have somehow found myself in a position where my work has continued throughout numerous lockdowns (we are in one right now as I type) and I’m eternally grateful to all those fans and clients who continue to support this artistic journey I’m on and trust in my work.

Here’s my annual recap of what happened in 2020 - or at least some of it!

Mayflower

As we headed into a long lockdown in the spring of 2020, I took it upon myself to do something that I’d always wanted to do - create a journal documenting all the different wildflowers that are so abundant in the fields of hedgerows here in Wales.

I’m delighted with the end result.

Completed Meerkat Totem

I was in the fortunate position to be having paying work coming out of my ears, so naturally, once again my personal project - The Totem Project, fell by the wayside, but I’m happy that I got Meerkat Totem done - a beautiful gift for a cherished family member.

Commissions

Throughout the year I opened up a new part of my creative offerings and started creating angelic/spiritual visualisations. I somehow managed to create 8 last year and have a long waiting list for this year. This has been some of the most fulfilling and exciting work I’ve done yet in my creative career and I feel honoured that people choose to work with me and trust me to work with them!

The Angel Guide Oracle Published

Wrapping up the artwork for The Angel Guide Oracle in February it was a long wait for it to come out in September 2020 but well worth it! It has been such a pleasure to meet people who are enjoying working with the deck and read/hear people’s thoughts, impressions and experiences with the deck.

Book Merch

I’ve lost track of just how many pins and bookmarks and other book merch I created this year but it’s a LOT. It’s been such fun to work with the likes of Fairy Loot and Fabled Merch to create these unique items!

Logo Designs

I also worked with a select few clients on their new logo designs. I do design work like this less and less but always enjoy the opportunity when it arises!

New Accessories

With the launch of The Angel Guide Oracle shop I also launched some new products that are available only on my website. I was delighted that both the journals and zipper pouches were so well received and have shipped all over the world. I look forward to bringing you some more items this year!

Despite the challenges and the tragedies of 2020, I’m excited about what 2021 is going to bring, I already have so many exciting things on the go and I can’t wait to share them with you!!
