I have been exploring my creativity through journaling for several years. For me, journaling has been a way to explore my creative practice outside of my commercial work - a practice that started during the summer of covid-lockdown here in Wales. I spent every day in May painting a wildflower that I found out on my daily walks.
Since then I have created several journals exploring specific areas of interest and I would love to help you explore your own!

This workshop is for the creative soul; whether you consider yourself a beginner or advanced artist, even if you feel like you can’t draw a stick man! I will be delighted to help guide you in the creation of your daily journaling practice.

We will spend the morning walking the lands and collecting our inspiration. You may wish to focus on the flora of the land, or perhaps butterflies and insects, maybe birdlife you see, or perhaps you may choose to be inspired by the landscape in general. A variety of different paints and creative mediums will be available for you to play with. You can bring your own journal if you wish, or paper will be supplied which you could slot into your journal in the future.

We will explore capturing the essence of your inspiration on paper both with paints and pens and also with the written word. My hope is when you leave the workshop you will feel the inspiration to continue a daily or weekly creative practice to continue your special creative journal.

Suitable for ages 7+ but all children must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults do not need a ticket unless you want to join in with the activity yourself.
