A Look Back at 2018

Wow what a year 2018 was! I entered into my second year of 2018 not really sure what lay ahead of me, but so much happened it’s hard to even remember! Here’s a brief recap!

Shoutout from one of my favourite authors

I couldn’t resist doing a bit of fan art of one of my favourite author’s book series. It was so amazing to trade an art print for a signed copy of her book! Check out Nalini’s books here.

Featured in Conceptual Magazine

I was delighted to find my submission to Conceptual Magazine was accepted and published in their Majestic Men issue.

I opened a studio!

A dream come true for me and an absolute pleasure to share my work with the world!

I participated in Junicorn

I participated in the June art challenge of ‘Junicorn’ and pencilled out an idea for a new short story or children’s book.

Seven Totems were completed

Continuing my ongoing Totem project, I was able to get 7 Totems created in 2018.

Five angels were created

Continuing my angelic project, 5 angels were created. I started the year with Elemental, and ended it with Iris - two of my most favourite and colourful creations so far.

I participated in Inktober

I joined the big art challenge - Inktober in October and somehow managed to create a pen and ink illustration for every day of October. It was tough but I’m glad I managed to do it!

New Collaborations

I collaborated with the lovely peeps over at Wick & Fable to create some stunning enamel pins and illustrations for their gorgeous subscription boxes. Keep an eye out for more of these being announced soon!

What an amazing year, I don’t often say this, as I have ridiculously high standards for myself - but I’m pretty proud of how the year went and managing to make this dream of mine come true! 2019 looks really amazing already, so I hope you enjoy following me through this coming year and all the adventures it holds for me and my art.
