Brand Launch & Website design
It was a pleasure to be approached by Kate as she embarked on the journey of launching her new acupuncture and holistic therapy business. We took our time to familiarise ourselves with the goals of her business and the aesthetics which she wish to be represented by, I then went away and began the fun part of exploring concepts for the new Begin-ah brand.
After some exploration we settled on the concept of the ‘ah’ being the exclamation one makes when the body finally receives healing or release, the name of the business was also an invitation to ‘begin’ the healing journey.
The final branding concept is one that is typography focused, refined and elegant and with a creative flare brought about in the vivid sparks of the acupuncture needle.
COntinuing the aesthetic adventure
After working on the logo we embarked on the website design where the full design vision of the new brand was able to be explore to its full extent. The use of a strong grid, bold typography and hand-drawn elements made for a dynamic and unique layout that utilised some of the more complex layouts available to us now in modern web-design, using strict rules to ensure the design worked correctly on smaller mobile screens as well as laptops and desktops. Inviting and introspective images were chosen to remind the viewer subtly of the connection one has with the body.
