Encanto
I recently did a live intuitive painting session on Instagram . This painting session was about 85 minutes long (feel free to speed up the video if you wish lol) and it was quite a sweet spot for me to feel where the artwork was going and also for people to see an indepth view of my process. I planned to “finish” this piece this evening, but upon opening it, I felt strongly to leave it as it is and not add any more of my usual refinements. I asked if there was a name for the piece and the word ‘Encanto’ dropped into my mind. I looked up its etymology - a favourite past-time of mine - I love learning the origins of words - and although we commonly relate the word to enchantment or magic, I love that it is also linked to the word ‘encantar’ which means to sing. This feels very appropriate for the message that came through shortly before starting this piece - which you can read below.

“We feel your weariness dear one, we feel your weariness at the state of the world and the things that are being played out at this time. But don’t forget to love. Don’t forget to live, don’t forget to tread lightly and be in your joy for even when all is dark and dismal and seemingly awful remember there is always a light burning brightly in you, shining brighter than any sun you have yet seen and this light has the power to change worlds, the power to transform and to transmute all things, to gain access to higher realms and to seek deeper desires in the realms of the unknown. This light is truly the power of the Soul and as such the power of God, the power of God is in you - as so many have said - and it burns as brightly as a million suns but you have been taught to dim this light, to shy away from this light, to not acknowledge the greatness of this light. And we are here to say it is time to remove the cloaks, to remove the shields, to remove the veil that hides your light from all beings who would see it.
The time is coming when all lights will be shone more brightly than ever before and it is time to re-know this light, re-discover this light and re-claim this light - no matter what you have been taught. You are all the light. You are all the light. And though you may not see it yet with your physical eyes, it is there, it is there for all to see to feel and to touch. It transforms and transmutes more than you can imagine - it is just that you are being repeatedly and doggedly guided to place your attention elsewhere, to focus elsewhere on the darkness and the hurt and the pain and all that is wrong. And we would say no - look instead to the light within yourselves - do not let your light be dimmed by the darkness you believe is all around you. Instead reside in your light, reside in your power, be your power and rise that light up, shine that light up, turn the dial up and blast it out on all frequencies for all to see and feel for far far around. Do not ever doubt the light of the soul, it is within you now and has always been within you and will never ever be snuffed out. And so it is. ”
