Angels in the Aurora
Many in the northern hemisphere were treated with spectacular views of the aurora borealis a few weeks ago. I was one of the unlucky ones who missed it! But I was delighted to see the pictures that people captured and shared on social media and I saw so many angels dancing within the colours and lights I knew I was going to have to create an aurora inspired piece.
After clearing the decks of other client-based work, I finally managed to sit down today, and pop my ipad on my lap to begin this piece. I really had troubles with the face as it kept blinking in and out of my vision and I couldn’t capture it before it vanished. No surprises there since the aurora is so changeable and is never still! Finally I sat back and said “Ok, show yourself!”
The guidance I received was to flip the image and turn it on its head, grab a section from the bottom and put it on the top and then it all started to come together!
I decided to call this piece ‘Angels in the Aurora’ and this was the message I received after painting the majority of it.
“The light of the spheres shines down on you now, there is light within all of you though you may not see it as readily as you see the lights in the sky. But the lights are here to remind you that magic does happen, moments of great majesty and grace can and do occur and this light pours out from within you as if your hearts are pouring out solar particles to charge the energy and the stuff that makes magic occur. These particles are being activated now, the friction and frisson that occurs cannot be denied and this energy is pouring out from all those who would allow it. There is little use in fighting it, for it is the ascension of mankind into a new way of being, a new wholeness, a new completeness and our lights in the sky came as a reminder of this to step into your new-found freedom, your new-found light and love - to embrace the magic, the unknown, the All that is within you and without of you.
We are light-bringers, we wish to show you the magic of the unknown and the unseen, we wish to charge the particles within you and excite them so that they too glow and rejoice in vibrant colour and light and grace. We are the unseen light within all of you, just waiting for that time to shine. And so it is. ”
