Bear Totem - Original Art

Bear Totem - Original Art

26th in the Totem Project, the bear may be a fierce creature, with his formidable size and bulk but he is also a creature who slumbers through the winter and snacks on fresh grown spring flowers when he emerges from his winter den. The Bear Totem encourages introspection and deep inward thinking. He symbolises strength and confidence as well as the need for solitude, quiet and rest.

Crafted in Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore paper it is accented with metallic acrylics and so catches the light and shimmers and shines depending on the time of the day and where you put it. This is a hand drawn artwork and so completely original and one of a kind!

  • The Bear Totem is created on professional grade 60lb, 12” x 18” black Strathmore Artagain paper. This paper is Acid Free, and contains 30% post-consumer finer.

  • The bear is coloured with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils - I use Prismacolor because they have soft leads with permanent pigments for excellent results. They are smooth, slow wearing, blendable, water-resistant and extremely light-fast.

  • The finishing touches are added with a selection of Heavy Body Acrylic paint . The Heavy Body palette includes the largest assortment of unique pure pigments in a 100% acrylic emulsion available to professional artists. These colors offer excellent permanency and lightfastness.

Not mounted or framed, it will be in a protective acid-free cello sleeve in a mailing tube. Please note I send these originals with tracking and insurance coverage to the value of the item.
